During the reporting period, the station provided notice of all full-time vacancies to the Virginia Association of Broadcasters, the National Association of Hispanic Journalist, the Asian American Journalist Association, CareerWomen.com (until the contract was not renewed), DiversitySearch.com (until the contract was not renewed) and the Richmond Free Press, all of which include substantial participation by women and minorities.

June 6, 2011 – July 29, 2011 - Virginia Association of Broadcasters Summer Internship Program –1 college student participated in an 8 week structured internship program in our Sales Department. This program offers undergraduate training in broadcasting related programs to college juniors and seniors.
January 16, 2012 - February 17, 2012 – WUPV placed a story on our website, www.cwrichmond.tv , describing the Virginia Association of Broadcasters' 2012 Summer Internship program. There was also a link to the VAB's website, www.vabonline.com, where more information could be found about this program and other resources through the VAB.

Spoke to students about careers in broadcasting as well as the VAB and their internship program, job bank where students can list their resumes as well as see open jobs posted by members of the VAB. WUPV held a 2011 "America's Next Top Model" casting call where hundreds of hopeful models tried out for a spot on this national television show. In addition to being the sponsor, WUPV had a booth at this event to speak with interested parties about careers in broadcasting and our internship program. Station Personnel involved - Human Resources Director, Local Sales Manager and General Manager.
