“Customer is the King”- is Newt Global’s philosophy. Listening to our customers is the best strategy to decide our next course of action. Towards this philosophy, Newt Global organized the first “Customer Consultative Summit 2012” at its headquarter Irving, Texas, USA. The Summit started on December 14th 2012 and took place for three days. It was an interactive and customer-centric experience which has brought together experts, client representatives, information technology specialists and Newt Global’s leadership team to exchange ideas to drive more productivity for the upcoming year.
The purpose of the event was to review 2012 accomplishments and challenges, prepare objectives and plans for the year 2013. The goal was to find out what Newt Global is doing right, what may need review, and what more to be done. Presentation by Neeta Goel, President and CEO of Newt Global set the stage followed by prominent speakers.
Dr. Jeff Hicks, Clinical Professor at the University of Texas, Dallas, with 15 years of research experience in business strategy and organizational change, shared his research findings on the emerging trends in employee and employer behavior in his presentation ‘Working 2020’. Focus of his session was directed towards scenario envisioning with detailed explanation of four possible and plausible scenarios of the future working world. Discussion with Dr. Hicks over various entrepreneurial tactics and business strategies that could be implemented at Newt Global was remarkable.
There were around 40 presentations, discussions, client meet and expert meet which provided great insights to formulate goals and sales forecasts for the coming year and addressed how we can be more effective at achieving high performance in future; tools to support high performance and deliver successful business outcomes; successfully linking strategy implementation and operational excellence.
Intermingling of clients and senior leadership of Newt Global produced good ideas about the challenges faced by clients and what Newt Global could do to support client success.
The Customer Consultative Summit has served as an opportunity to inform clients about 2013 plans as well as thank clients for their business. Several fun activities and a grand dinner have been planned to celebrate the relationship between Newt Global and its clients. Speakers and presentations throughout the three day event were thought-provoking and engaging. Summit was concluded by thanks giving and wishing all a prosperous Christmas and New Year.
