Head out to the Funny Bone Comedy Club for some great laughs with Guy Torry. In the tradition of comedians who have made the transition from the stage to the screen, such as Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby, multi-talented Guy Torry has made the leap to comedic actor with great success. Guy has been seen on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam on HBO, as well as the feature films, Funny Money, The Last Stand, Slow Burn, Stuck on You, Runaway Jury, Don’t Say A Word, Pearl Harbor, Life, The Animal and most notably American History X. He’s clearly talented and he’ll be here in Richmond all weekend long. Tickets start at just $15.
Friday, August 29th & Saturday, August 30th:
Get spooked, if you’re into that sort of thing, with EERIE NIGHTS ghost Tour of Richmond VA. This premier ghost tour will lead you through Richmond's oldest neighborhood, Shockoe Bottom, in search of restless spirits. Now, this tour is unlike any other. There are no cheery guides to greet you upon arrival, instead they offer you their "Ghoul Guides", which is group of the walking dead doomed to haunt the streets of Richmond and tell you all about its tragic past and paranormal activities that happened at each stop along the way. They mesh haunt gore with history. And get this… Tickets are $13 (Discounts available for Groups, Seniors and Military. There are tours every Friday and Saturday at 8pm thru September. Tours are every Friday and Saturday at 8pm & 10pm the whole month of October!
17th St. Farmers Market
If you'd like something a bit more up beat, head out to see Jason Derulo perform live at Kings Dominion for their 40th anniversary concert series! Now, we've all rocked out to his hits like "Talk Dirty to M"e and "Wiggle". This Friday night, Jason Derulo will perform all of your favorites! A season pass won't get you in to see him perform, but a concert ticket will give you access to the park afterwards. So, choose wisely! Gates open at 5pm and Jason takes the stage at 6:30pm.
Saturday, August 30th is your last chance to Head out to Chesterfield for their county fair! Enjoy Rides, concessions, music oh my! They've expanded their entertainment and exhibit line-up to include a bull riding competition, Bengal tiger showcase, pro wrestling, karaoke contest and much more.

If you're looking for some good ol southern homemade BBQ, then you don't want to miss Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour. bringing the heat and smoke to Richmond this Saturday! Local barbecue enthusiasts are invited to join Pitmaster Michael McDearman, for an afternoon of free backyard barbecue demos and samples while competition teams cook for cash prizes and top recognitions. Now, if you're not familiar with the SAMs club national BBQ tour, I'll fill you in.
It's the largest and richest tournament in the history of competition barbecue. This year, over 700 teams will compete for $500,000 in prize money. So you know everyone is bringing their A game. And you get to sample it all! The best part? It's completely free! Head out to Sam's Club on West Broad to enjoy all the deliciousness starting at 10am.
