Exclusive distribution agreement provides access to new market of more than 95,000 patient beds

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nashville, Tennessee-based Lincor Solutions Inc. today announced it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Australia-based technology company Hills Health Solutions to deploy Lincor's interactive patient engagement technology for the first time in acute care hospitals and senior living facilities in Australia and New Zealand.

Under the agreement, Hills Health Solutions will offer Lincor's LINC Technology in a services model to hospitals across Australia and New Zealand, a growing market currently estimated at more than 95,000 patient beds. The deal represents an opportunity to replicate the proven effectiveness of interactive patient engagement, which research has shown to reduce length of stay, lower readmission rates and improve patient satisfaction, in two significant new markets.

"We are excited about our partnership with Hills Health Solutions and the opportunity to provide our next generation patient engagement technology to healthcare providers and patients in this part of the world," said Lincor Chairman and CEO Dan Byrne. "Hills is one of the largest and most well-respected technology companies in Australia, and by working together we believe we can deliver a world-class patient experience in Australia and New Zealand."

Lincor's patient engagement technology provides access to clinical, administrative and entertainment systems within a single platform, empowering patients to become better informed and engaged in their care and helping hospitals achieve better patient engagement, satisfaction and clinical outcomes. Lincor currently provides its patient engagement technology to more than 130 hospitals in more than 20 countries around the world.

Hills Health Solutions, a leading provider of integrated technology and communication solutions, currently delivers its interactive patient care systems to more than 300 Australian hospitals and senior living facilities servicing over 40,000 beds.

"Lincor's technology is world class and perfectly complements Hills' existing nurse call communication system and patient entertainment platform," said Petra Jurd, Head of Hills Health Solutions. "This best-in-breed technology will truly improve bedside point of care and usher in a shift away from traditional bedside clipboards, empowering patients and clinicians to achieve better experiences and improved clinical outcomes."

Lincor's technology will be available to Australian and New Zealand hospitals immediately through Hills Health Solutions.
